Прилагательное слабый передается английскими weak, feeble и faint. Weak имеет в виду главным образом упадок физических и духовных сил и в этом значении может взаимозаменяться с feeble, причем feeble обычно характеризует слабость, вызванную преклонным возрастом: слабый человек – weak (old) man и feeble (old) man, слабый ум – weak mind и feeble mind.
